RIVALS REUNITED: CLARK AND JENSEN JOIN FORMER FOES WITH ZOMBIES HOCKEY

WALKER, Mich. — For more than a decade, the Busch Leaguers and Lakeside Locomotives stood among the most powerful and recognizable teams at Lakeshore Sports Centre.

Their games were fast. Their battles were physical. Whenever the two clubs stepped onto the same sheet of ice, neither side needed an introduction.

Now, familiar faces from that longtime rivalry are trading competition for chemistry.

Former Busch Leaguers Riley Clark and Trevor Jensen are joining Zombies Hockey, where they will skate alongside former Lakeside Locomotives Joe Lochinski, Joe Ruemenapp, Nate Tyler, Trent Kik and Kevin Wootton.

Once opponents. Now teammates.

Clark and Jensen spent years competing against several current Zombies while wearing the Busch Leaguers’ familiar blue. On the other side, the Locomotives built their own reputation with a roster that included Lochinski, Ruemenapp, Tyler, Kik and Wootton.

The Busch Leaguers and Locomotives were two of the league’s premier organizations, combining talent, experience and a competitive edge that helped define an era at Lakeshore Sports Centre. Whenever the teams met, friendships were temporarily set aside and every shift became a battle for the puck, the victory and—most importantly—bragging rights.

That old rivalry will now become part of the Zombies’ strength.

Instead of lining up across from one another, Clark and Jensen will share a bench with players they once battled for loose pucks, scoring opportunities and victories. Years of competition created a mutual understanding of what each player brings to the ice—and that familiarity could make the transition from rivals to teammates a natural one.

The Zombies are assembling more than a collection of experienced players. They are bringing together key pieces from two former powerhouses whose rivalry helped shape the league for more than a decade.

The jerseys have changed. The rivalry has ended. But the competitive fire remains.

This time, it will all be directed toward one goal.

Together.

Once opponents. Now teammates.

Welcome to Zombies Hockey, Riley Clark and Trevor Jensen.
