PLAYER TRACKER
The 'Player Tracker' is a tool that the Phantoms starting using in 2021 to better keep track of game day operations and make the team more organized. The tracker is a viewer that allows all players the ability to see which players are scratched for any given game during the season, which players are currently in the line-up, which players are on beer duty for any given week as well as a accurate chart showing an individual player's stats up to that point in the season. This tracker is updated via the team leadership group and is always live and current with the latest information. Unfortunately, this information is ONLY available for current players and not available for the public. If you would like access to it, please contact Kik or Wootton.

Phantoms Announce VSP-Volunteer Scratch Program for Season

The Phantoms have added full-time skaters in excess of the normal 13-man roster to better handle game day scratches and help players with the lowest possible league fees. The team used data collected from the previous seasons to help formulate the concept of an increased roster. “We understand life creates it’s own schedule at times in which hockey may not be possible during a given week, having all three teams carry extra players full time creates flexibility and eliminates the rush and panic sometimes associated with calling subs last minute,” said Kevin Wootton. For the 2025-2026 Fall/Winter season, the Phantoms roster consists of 17 skaters. The goal is to skate at 13 skaters each game and the team hopes that this Volunteer Scratch Program (VSP) program will help with that goal.

The concept of this program is to offer refunds on game days in which the Phantoms have skaters above the desired 13 skater limit. Here’s out it works, the first four players PRIOR to gameday that inform the team they will be out, will receive a VSP credit noted on the Player Tracker. If on gameday the team is above 13 skaters, a message will be sent to the team’s group chat asking for any volunteers to sit out a game. If, up until game time, the team remains above 13 skaters, those players who volunteered to sit out on gameday will receive the credit. Anyone, besides volunteers on gameday, who remove themselves from the game on GameDay will NOT receive a VSP credit. Money will be available for refund after a player and team has paid league fees in full.
