THE BULLDOG IS BACK IN THE FIGHT! ANDREW ERICKSON RETURNS TO THE PHANTOMS!
Repaired, Recharged and Ready—No. 91 Resumes His 325-Point Career
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The surgery is behind him, the recovery road has been traveled and one of the Phantoms’ most accomplished veterans is ready to pull the sweater back over his shoulders!
The West Michigan Phantoms have officially signed forward Andrew Erickson for the Fall/Winter 2026–27 season.
Erickson suffered an upper-body injury shortly before the beginning of the Summer 2026 campaign. The injury required surgery and forced him to spend the entire season away from the lineup.
Now the long wait is ending—and No. 91 is ready to skate again!
Erickson returns with outstanding Phantoms career totals of 174 goals, 151 assists and 325 points, accompanied by 107 penalty minutes. His first goal of the upcoming season will be the 175th of his career, placing another significant milestone directly within reach.
Before becoming a major offensive presence for the Phantoms, Erickson developed his game while playing varsity high school hockey for the Grandville Bulldogs. That Bulldog toughness became an important part of his identity as he built one of the most productive careers in West Michigan Phantoms history.
Erickson has never been limited to one method of creating offense. His 174 goals demonstrate his finishing ability, while 151 assists show he can distribute the puck and create opportunities for his teammates.
Need a goal? Erickson has delivered 174.
Need a playmaker? Add another 151 assists.
Need proof that a Bulldog can fight through adversity? His return from surgery provides all the evidence required.
Missing an entire season is never easy—especially for a player who has spent years contributing to the Phantoms. Erickson traded game nights for recovery, competition for rehabilitation and the familiar rhythm of hockey for the patience required to get healthy.
But the comeback is now approaching its final stage.
His return gives the Phantoms another proven scorer and veteran presence as the organization prepares for Season 62. It also restores a familiar weapon to the lineup after a full campaign without him.
The equipment is coming back out.
The Bulldog is returning to the ice.
And Andrew Erickson is ready to continue a Phantoms career already carrying 325 points!
WELCOME BACK, ANDREW ERICKSON!
FEAR THE EYES!
