1/10/21 AT WIFC
Happy New Year...Round #5 With 2020 being anything but normal for the world, just being able to get on the ice and play some hockey has been a challenge all year long. On December 7, the State of Michigan loosened some restrictions on ice and skating centers which is allowing us to have this private ice rental on 1/10/21 at Walker Ice & Fitness. Per state guidelines, we are limited to 20 people (18 skaters and 2 goaltenders). NO fans or family are able to come watch. Showers will be open in the locker room for after the scrimmage. We will split the group into two groups and skate from 2:00pm-3:30pm. Cost is $12 per person and will be collected BEFORE you enter the ice. Please give CASH to Woot prior to the scrimmage. (please have exact change). Everyone is asked to bring a dark colored and light colored jersey. (Note: Woot will NOT have the collected Phantom jerseys available for this scrimmage). Please remember that while men’s league games continue to be shut-down throughout the state, this scrimmage is designed to help keep us in hockey mode and NOT to be played as if we are competing for a championship. We will have players from all levels and it is our goal to have fun, keep our bodies in beer league mode and try to bring some fun to 2020.
In terms of player safety, we are asking everyone to comply with the following guidelines to ensure our scrimmage is safe and provides a low risk for players during the COVID-19 era. If you have tested positive for COVID in the past 10 days, live with someone who has tested positive for COVID in the past 10 days, been sick in the past 10 days, or haven’t felt well in the past 10 days…DO NOT sign up and DO NOT skate. If you need to cancel for this scrimmage because of a change in your health since you signed up, please let me know. We would rather air on the side of caution for everyone’s health and safety and do not want anyone to risk playing if they have been sick in past 10 days and don’t want to risk the others of the group. Everyone is required to wear a mask into the locker room before the scrimmage and wear a mask when leaving the locker room exiting the building. No mask is required on the bench or ice.
As of this moment, the following people have signed up for this scrimmage. (If canceling, please do so with as much notice as possible).
