Locos Team Update 12.14.20
It has been a few weeks since we updated all players on the current pause to the season as a result of the State of Michigan’s partial shut-down to control the spread of the Covid-19 virus. I can say that as we wait for the latest information from the Michigan governor, I am hopeful that we will return to the ice soon for league hockey. We are currently able to host private ice rentals and had a great turnout on December 13th for a scrimmage and plan to host another at Walker Ice & Fitness on December 20th if we again get enough skaters. The current pause has been rough and 2020 in general, has been a complete mess filled with disappointment, canceled games and few opportunities to hang out as a team and with friends. As we, along with millions in the state, wait for this pause to end, we do need to be prepared to return to the rink and play or be prepared to extend the season pause and remain off the ice. In terms of the Locomotives, the information below is where we stand at the moment

NEW JERSEYS: Matt Neiger continues to work on the new jerseys for the Locomotives. Due to a color issue, Neiger has shifted from Men’s League Sweaters to a different vender. At last check, Neiger was going back and forth…back and forth…and back and forth on which twill count to use on the new jerseys.
We are hoping to return to the ice soon, however, are also planning for an extended time off period if state mandates require. We will provide additional information when known.
